Accreditation for any institution is a lengthy and arduous task and who knows if University of the People will ever receive accreditation. This is only the onset of their first term. I have a wait and see attitude with high praises to the Founder for the gumption to undertake such a task. Upon further review, their program curriculum mirrors what I learned in University albeit this is a more focused environment. I take the strong stance that education really needs to be about the end result. What do the students get out of the program?, Are they prepared with real world skills? I think perhaps it is time we recognize the people and not the logo’s prior to making our assessments.
